Pattern: Juliet, from
Yarn: Filatura di Crosa Andina, Georgian Pink, 5 skeins
Notes: No modifications. Knit 8 lace repeats below the bust, and my gauge was spot on. The yarn worked out fine; not exactly cashmere-soft, but softer than 100% wool. The fit is true-to-size, and compared to the other Zephyr patterns I've knit, I think the sleeves on this fit much better than the others, which were a little on the snug side. Not exactly thrilled with the closure style--the long crochet button loops and the big gap between the fronts is a little too sloppy-looking for me. Maybe using a ribbon tie just under the bust would have been better?
In all, I'm a little lukewarm about this one. I definitely appreciated that it was easy and quick, but I'm still getting used to the swingy empire-waist style that seems to be everywhere at the moment; it toes the line between making me look trendy and making me look pregnant. I think I might like this sweater a bit better in a few weeks, when it's cold enough for me to wear a little turtleneck underneath. Either way, I'm just glad this one went off without a hitch :)

This is it... this is my turning point. This and this right here has made me lust after the Juliet pattern. Such that it might just be my next knit in the line up!!
