Finally, I have my finished shots of Demi! H had to play photographer this time (my old wireless remote doesn't play well with my new camera), and considering the lovely weather outside, we decided to change the typical FO venue from our guest bedroom to nearby Rock Creek Park.
See the full gallery here.
Pattern: Demi from Rowan's Vintage Knits
Yarn: Lion Brand Fisherman's Wool
Needles: US6, US7, US8
Notes: Even after all the hassle and drama surrounding this project, it turns out I made exactly zero modifications to the pattern. Wait, I think I added five extra rows to the hem. Yeah, that's about it. Kind of anticlimactic, I know--I should really have more to say after taking so long to finish this. Sorry; I think I'm just all Demi'd out at the moment.
Oh! One last thing: I really, really love this sweater.

I really really love your boots! And Demi of course - gorgeous sweater, & it fits so well with no modifications!
Beautiful! The sweater and boots are pretty fresh.
oh wait listen...is that your phone ringing? It must be Interweave Knits asking you to be on their next cover issue!
It is so amazing. I love it in the classic cream.
Wow that came out GRRRREAT!!! You should be proud!

That is just a marvelously knit sweater. Thanks for sharing it and no need to apologize. It turned out well worth waiting to see.
Beautiful.
Fabulous. Perfect classic colour for it, and it's wonderful with the dark slim jeans and those great boots.
Wow, that sweater looks so good I had to add the book to my Amazon wish list. Nicely done! :)
I fear I have become something of a broken record on your blog. But truly, it's wonderful! I've had this pattern in my queue for a very long time, and seeing your beautiful version makes me want to get clicking on it soon. Congratulations Parikha, it's just perfect :)
Beautiful! Love the color.
Love it! I bought the book to make this jumper, I really should get on to it.
It is absolutely gorgeous ! And these photos really make me wish it was fall already *sigh*
that is AWESOME!!!!! how did you like using the Fishermans Wool? Soft? Do you need to wear something under it? Demi is high on my list, and I have seen a few made from this wool, and it is a great economical choice. It came out AMAZING!

What a beautiful sweater and what a beautiful demonstration of Lion Brand Fisherman's Wool -- I've been intrigued by it since I first saw it down in Maryland! I've also been intrigued by Demi for a long time. Kismet?
Really, Fisherman's wool? What did you think? Wow! I love this sweater and the photos. Tell H he did really really good!

That is one gorgeous knit. I've seen many Demi knits over the last 2 years, but this is the one that inspires me to add it to my ever growing list of projects. Now I remember why I bought Vintage Knits!

Just saw the gallery, & the Demi just looks fabulous in every shot. You did an amazing job on it, & looks like it was worth the effort! Can't wait to see what your next project will be.
You look perfectly ready for fall! (Which, around here, seems to have come flying in). Awesome job on the sweater.

I'm adding another set of "gorgeous" and "inspiring" exclamations to the host. Bravo!
This is just stunning. You did an amazing job. I love it!
Oh, Parikha, it's beautiful! The natural shade you chose really shows off the cables beautifully. It's such a classic sweater, you can wear it forever. Love it with skinny jeans and boots. Beautiful!!!
All I can say is WOW! Very good, makes me want to try something other than the simple scarves that I do!
you're gorgeous! thinking of trying a rowan pattern.
Gorgeous; this is a perfect knit. Love your FO shots, too - they look professional!
It looks fantastic on you!
And it's so exciting to see a "Demi twin"...I knit mine in Fisherman's Wool, as well!
GORGEOUS! stunning, really.
Ooohh pretty! It looks great on you!
I can tell by the smile on your face that you absolutely love the sweater! It's a great pattern, and I think your choice of fisherman's wool in that creamy color is appropriate.
Wow.
Demi goes on my to-do list as of now!
