demi

Finally, I have my finished shots of Demi! H had to play photographer this time (my old wireless remote doesn't play well with my new camera), and considering the lovely weather outside, we decided to change the typical FO venue from our guest bedroom to nearby Rock Creek Park.

Pattern: Demi from Rowan's Vintage Knits
Yarn: Lion Brand Fisherman's Wool
Needles: US6, US7, US8
Notes: Even after all the hassle and drama surrounding this project, it turns out I made exactly zero modifications to the pattern. Wait, I think I added five extra rows to the hem. Yeah, that's about it. Kind of anticlimactic, I know--I should really have more to say after taking so long to finish this. Sorry; I think I'm just all Demi'd out at the moment.

Oh! One last thing: I really, really love this sweater.

I fear I have become something of a broken record on your blog. But truly, it's wonderful! I've had this pattern in my queue for a very long time, and seeing your beautiful version makes me want to get clicking on it soon. Congratulations Parikha, it's just perfect :)

that is AWESOME!!!!! how did you like using the Fishermans Wool? Soft? Do you need to wear something under it? Demi is high on my list, and I have seen a few made from this wool, and it is a great economical choice. It came out AMAZING!

That is one gorgeous knit. I've seen many Demi knits over the last 2 years, but this is the one that inspires me to add it to my ever growing list of projects. Now I remember why I bought Vintage Knits!

I can tell by the smile on your face that you absolutely love the sweater! It's a great pattern, and I think your choice of fisherman's wool in that creamy color is appropriate.

Wow.

Demi goes on my to-do list as of now!
