I have it bad. Really bad. As in, the first time I saw the pattern, I couldn't stop thinking about it for days. You know what I'm talking about, right? When a project consumes your mind to the extent that you are willing to drop everything else you're doing to immerse yourself in it?
Anyone who knows me in real life will readily attest to the fact that I am a cardigan addict. I don't know what it is, but I'd forsake all my pullovers for a single good cardigan any day. There's one well-worn, waffle-knit grey lounge cardigan I wore so much after giving birth that now, when my son sees it, he can't help but wrap himself up in it like a blanket, because that's what he thinks it is. He loves to park his little bum in my lap and pull the sides around him so we're coccooned in it together. It's very cute. Aidez promises to be another one of those cozy, wearable blanket types, which is probably why I'm so obsessed with it.
For my fellow East Coasters, here's hoping that you, too, have a good project to hunker down with this weekend, and that Irene turns out to be just a big fuss over nothing.

The yarn you've chosen for your Aidez is so pretty and cozy! It looks like the perfect choice. Can't wait to see how it turns out.
ReplyDeleteWestern mass over hear and yes a made sure to have a project to work on and some extra candles, wine, and chocolate. You have to be prepared right?
ReplyDeleteAidez is next on my list, too! I was the same way - couldn't stop thinking about it. What yarn are you using?
ReplyDeleteI just cast on for this this week! I've had the yarn and the pattern for months....and then I decided it was time. I love your color. Maybe I'll have to make another one in a neutral...
ReplyDeleteWell that's quite beautiful. Love that pattern. And I agree about Irene... hopefully she's not gonna come in guns blazing.
ReplyDeleteStay safe and enjoy that beautiful cardigan that's in the works.
ReplyDeleteOkay, A) anything knit in cream instantly has my heart, and B) it's so good to see you knitting again! I love the tweed minimalist cardigan you made a few years ago; excited to see how this one turns out. Yes, be safe and keep us posted with how everything is going out there.
ReplyDeleteHa! I went to check out this pattern on Ravelry (I'm such a sucker for cables) and saw I already queued it! Can't wait to see how yours comes out.
ReplyDeleteMay I ask what the yarn is that you are using for this beautiful knit?
ReplyDeleteMany thanks!
Rebecca
It's a nice story! Your Aidez looks beautiful! I'm supposed to be knitting tomorrow too as we are expecting heavy rain in Montreal too but we're not supposed to get too much wind... I hope this storm is over soon...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. Can't wait to see the finished sweater.
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog and I love it. Great project and I am now about to log onto Ravelry and find the pattern. Thank you.
