I didn't know my great grandmother very well, but I vaguely remember an aunt once telling me that she was the kind of person who found a bright side of everything, who said "there's no reason to complain about the rain--without it, the grass wouldn't grow." At a time when I often find myself overwhelmed and frustrated, I could use that kind of perspective. I must remember that, for every small thing I'm cursing at the moment, there are ten more for which I am grateful.
I really am very lucky to be where I am in life, and, for that, I am thankful.
